My  workshop

Southern California property is very expensive. I bought an old house for a lot of money. This is the old garage with a lean-to (on the right) where the previous owner kept a tractor in the 30s-40s to tend his orange groves which included my property and 300 surrounding acres!  It is just big enough that when it's time to mount the wings, I will take down one wall, and I can mount both wings and have 1.9 feet between each wingtip and the wall. The lean-to area was dirt so I bought a cement mixer and many 90lb. bags later, I had a nice floor, complimented with 1x1 vinyl tiles. It was nasty white, chipping all over, so I sprayed it with a fresh coat of paint.

ou can see the temporary wall I threw up here. It's amazing how well that R-13 insulation works. It's toasty in here in winter and cool in summer. I have electric heat and a window air conditioner.

I have a nice view out my shop window as I live on top of a hill with a 360 degree view.

Here is my cheerleader, my wife Jen. She is big time into scrapbooking. She can spend hours and hours beautifying all our family and wedding photos so it is a match made in heaven!

I got these parts bins at home depot. They're great for all your hardware.

Another view from my house. Standing by my shop, looking the opposite way my shop window looks.

A sunrise on the way out to check the previous nights layup.
