I had to try out the finishing process and the gear came out nice.

It was fun mounting these puppies. I had strings running all over the place.
A string is a beautiful thing. It's the straightest thing you can possibly find.

      You have to remove and replace the gear several times. Although I did a good job of alignment of the tabs, it still takes a slight amount of persuasion to get both studs in place. So I machined a .500 aluminum rod down to .485 to make this process much easier.
