Carving the top
11-10-2003
Carving the top half of the nose tip is a little trickier than
the bottom. You have to do some freehand carving. I carved and stared, carved
and stared, and then, finally when I looked at the front and all of a sudden it
talked to me, I knew I was working too late, so I shut the lights and went to
bed.
Trying to visualize how the nose top foam and canard cover come
together, and compar-
ing my plane with the drawings.
You can see the nose top contour template I made from
foam and glass. I ended up not using this plans-template. See page 2.
