Okay, steady, hold it right there. The aileron hinges are curing. I applied flox, then used the hacksaw blade method, and weighted the blades down to apply pressure. When I removed the aileron, I had gaps between the hinges and and metal hardpoint, so I had to push flox in there before riveting. The bottom edge of the hinge hit first.

I think the cheap FMN 10 bearings are plenty good for the application. They are spherical so they pivot but the degree of movement when you put your COZY into a steep turn is very very little. Practically unnoticeable. I machined this part to mount the bearing to. Here you can see I machined pockets for the bolt heads to fit into. I drilled a very small hole in the side of the alum. part, through the bolt head, and then another .1 into the alum and "pinned" the bolt head in place. Installing this hardware is life and death decision making. When you are finished, you have to step back and say, "ya, that'll work".... and mean it.

Here you can see the other side of the install. The bearing is removable and replaceable. I will glass the edges of the bracket to the wing, and fill the lightening holes with micro.
